SWNA Annual Meeting on March 23
All Southwest residents are invited to attend the Southwest Neighborhood Assembly’s (SWNA) Annual Meeting at 7:30pm on March 23, 2009. We will kick off this year’s meeting with a speech from one of SWNA’s founders, Neal Peirce, who will discuss his experiences creating one of the District’s first racially integrated organizations. Next we will welcome Ward 6 Councilmember Tommy Wells to swear in the Assembly’s newly elected Board Members, and we will round out the meeting with reports from SWNA’s various committees and task forces. The meeting will be held in the sanctuary of St. Augustine’s Church (6th St & M St SW), and refreshments will be provided.
